TORT/PRODUCT LIABILITY LITIGATION ASSOCIATE - HARTFORD OR STAMFORD OFFICE

We are seeking a mid-level litigation associate to join our thriving national tort and product liability defense litigation practice in either our Hartford or Stamford office. Candidates should have a minimum of four years of complex litigation experience, strong case management skills and experience preparing witnesses and experts for trial. Must have experience in defending major tort and product liability lawsuits dealing with pharmaceuticals or medical devices. Candidates must have strong research, writing and oral advocacy skills along with a client service mindset, superior communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team. TAX ASSOCIATE - HARTFORD OFFICE

We are seeking a tax attorney with up to three years of experience in federal and state income tax law to join our Tax & Employee Benefits practice in our Hartford office. Prior large law firm experience, accounting background Tax LL.M. and/or clerkship with the U.S. Tax Court are desirable. TRUST & ESTATES ATTORNEY - GREENWICH OFFICE OR NEW YORK OFFICE

We are seeking a senior attorney to join our Trusts & Estates practice in either our Greenwich or our New York office. Candidates should have a minimum of ten years of experience in estate planning and in the representation of fiduciaries in all aspects of estate and trust administration and estate and trust related litigation. Experience with the administration of estate and trust assets, knowledge of estate planning tax implications, and experience with the preparation and filing of estate and gift tax returns are also required. Candidates must be self-starters and able to independently manage their caseload. EMPLOYEE BENEFITS ASSOCIATE - HARTFORD OFFICE

We are seeking an associate to join our Employee Benefits practice in Hartford. Candidates should have five to seven years of employee benefits experience including ERISA, qualified pension and 401k plans, executive compensation, nonqualified deferred compensation, 409A, and health and welfare plans. Experience dealing with complex benefits issues associated with various corporate transactions is considered a plus. REAL ESTATE / FINANCE ASSOCIATE - STAMFORD AND NEW YORK OFFICES

We are seeking an associate to join our real estate and finance practice in Stamford and New York. Candidates should have two to five years of experience in commercial real estate with a focus on leasing, conveyancing and lending. Experience with structured finance/capital markets and general corporate matters is considered a plus. Strong drafting and negotiation skills are required. Candidates must be self-starters, have the desire to grow in responsibility and ultimately manage transactions, have experience working as a member of a team on complex deals and be willing to work out of offices in Stamford, New York and occasionally Hartford as needs dictate. We will consider candidates who prefer to work from the firm’s New York office on a limited regular schedule for a portion of the time so long as candidate would also maintain a regular primary schedule in one of the firm’s Connecticut offices. FINANCE ASSOCIATE - HARTFORD OR STAMFORD OFFICE

We are seeking an attorney with a minimum of five years of experience in transactional work to join our well-established, nationally renowned Corporate Trust practice in either our Hartford or Stamford office. The Corporate Trust group works closely with the capital markets and loan agency departments of major national banks and other financial institutions, representing them as trustees, administrative agents, escrow agents and collateral or security agents in a wide variety of corporate debt, project finance, municipal bond, secured and structured financing transactions and defaults. Applicants with finance or securities/capital markets experience would be ideal. Successful applicants must have the ability to work with complex transactional documents and prioritize work in a deadline-intensive environment. We value collaboration and collegiality among our lawyers and are looking for someone proactive with strong interpersonal skills to join our team. SCHOOL LAW/EDUCATION LAW ATTORNEY - HARTFORD OFFICE

We are seeking an attorney with one to three years of experience to join our prominent and thriving school law practice in Hartford. Experience in collective bargaining, including grievance and interest arbitrations, is required. Experience in one or more of the following education law areas is preferred: student discipline and student rights, special education, labor relations, employment counseling, Board governance, and non-discrimination issues. Prior representation of public school districts and/or independent schools, colleges and universities strongly preferred. Strong counseling skills and exceptional presentation skills required.
