IRS Revokes Tax-Exempt Status of Hundreds of Thousands of Organizations and Provides Guidance on Reinstatement Process

On June 8th, the Internal Revenue Service published a listing of approximately 275,000 organizations that automatically lost their tax-exempt status for failing to file required annual reports (Forms 990, 990-EZ, 990-PF or 990-N) for three consecutive years.
