Investigation for Medicare Billing Improprieties

Represented a vendor providing billing services to a Medicare provider that was under investigation for billing improprieties. The representation required a delicate balancing of several competing objectives: cooperation with the Medicare investigation; minimizing the client’s potential exposure; responding to a related employee CHRO claim; and preserving our client’s own insurance claim for its potential exposure. We were able to resolve the matter with no damages or other exposure to our client.
