Defense Verdict in Jury Trial Involving Claims by Franchisee That Franchisor Improperly Blocked Sale of Franchise

A franchisee sued our franchisor client in federal court in New York claiming it improperly refused to consent to a proposed sale of the franchise to a third party, and sought damages of $400,000. After a four-day trial, the jury returned a defendant’s verdict.
