Successful Trademark Opposition Involving Convergence of Technology
Fortune 500 Enterprise Software Company
Represented a Fortune 500 enterprise software company in trademark opposition proceedings at the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board and in a trademark infringement suit in federal court involving the convergence of technology between enterprise software that used a telecommunications base and telecommunications services that included web hosting. The case was resolved after the depositon of the vice president for marketing of the telecommunications company with the telecommunications company completely abandoning the name in dispute. As a result, the telecommunications company also abandoned its efforts to use the name in dispute to acquire naming rights to a NFL football stadium.
