Construction of New Hotel Property

Represented the developer in connection with the acquisition by a ground lease of the property, the demolition of existing buildings and entering into the construction of a new Courtyard by Marriott Hotel in the central business district zone of the City of Stamford. We represented the developer and negotiated the ground lease, and did the construction financing with a regional bank. We re-negotiated the construction management contract with the Hotel Management Company. Thereafter, upon construction, we did the permanent financing of a securitized mortgage loan on the Hotel as well as negotiated the franchise agreement with the Marriott International Corporation.
