Chasity Roberts is an associate in the Government Investigations and White Collar Criminal Defense Group, with a focus on International Trade Compliance and Enforcement.  She counsels clients on compliance and enforcement matters involving the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), the Export Administration Regulations (EAR), and related U.S. law and policy affecting international trade and business, including sanction regulations, custom laws, and antiboycott regulations.  She assists clients with internal investigations, preparing voluntary disclosures, and drafting internal compliance policies and procedures.

Chasity also practices in the area of employment-based immigration law before state and federal administrative agencies.  She assists clients in obtaining non-immigrant and immigrant visas for executives, managers and other professionals, outstanding professors and researchers, religious workers and medical professionals.  She also prepares permanent labor certification applications (PERM) leading to permanent employment and permanent residency in the United States.

Prior to joining Shipman & Goodwin, Chasity spent a year internship at a multi-faceted privately-held real estate company based in Connecticut.
