Schools frequently are asked to investigate claims of student misconduct in addition to violations of basic discipline rules such as bullying, sexual harassment, Title IX violations, or hate crimes. This workshop will address best practices in conducting such investigations. Topics include:

  • Policy review and sample policy language.
  • The roles and rights of parents
  • Dos and don'ts of investigation reports
  • What documents do the "victim" and the "accused" get to see?

We invite all Superintendents, Assistant Superintendents, Principals, Assistant Principals and Title IX coordinators to join us.  Coffee and a light breakfast will be served and parking is provided.
