Kate Hance focuses her practice on litigation, including trial and appellate involving general commercial, bankruptcy, and insurance coverage litigation.
Prior to joining Shipman & Goodwin, Kate was an associate at Hogan & Hartson LLP. While in law school at Georgetown, Kate was an editor for the Georgetown Journal on Poverty Law & Policy, a student attorney for the Georgetown Juvenile Justice Clinic, and a law fellow for the Georgetown Legal Research and Writing department. She received the International Academy of Trial Lawyers Student Advocacy Award from the Juvenile Justice Clinic in 2006.
