Katherine Romel practices in the area of business litigation, as well as government investigations and white collar criminal defense. She represents clients in both state and federal courts in a variety of complex criminal and civil litigation matters, including matters concerning breach of contract, misappropriation of trade secrets, unfair trade practices, fraud, misrepresentation, and other business torts. 

Katie also represents companies and individuals in white collar criminal matters, government investigations, and internal corporate investigations.  She has experience representing clients in connection with inquiries conducted by various governmental agencies, including FINRA, the SEC, and state attorneys general.

Prior to joining Shipman & Goodwin, Katie served as an intern for the Honorable Ralph Gants of the Suffolk Superior Court.
