Sheila Huddleston from Shipman and Goodwin filed their final brief today in the Connecticut Supreme Court with regard to the New England Estates v. Town of Branford trial. The brief defended the $12.4 million verdict that the trial team, led by
Jim Bergenn, procured in Waterbury Superior Court last September, based on the Town's abuse of eminent domain to block our client's proposed affordable housing development.
