Pursuant to a congressional mandate, a permanent RAC program has been implemented nationwide. With so much money and possible False Claims litigation at stake, providers must be prepared to respond to RAC audits. Shipman & Goodwin's Health Law Practice Group would like to help providers protect their assets. We will be joined by two experienced clinical coders each with specific knowledge of inpatient and outpatient coding, a nurse reviewer who was the former COO of a 400 bed acute care hospital in California and a Director of Health Information Management at a 900 bed acute care hospital. This dynamic team will review the following:
1. CMS RAC Program – What You Need to Know
2. RAC Audit Case Studies
3. Creating an Infrastructure to Respond to RAC Audits
4. Prospectively Minimizing Your Risk Under RAC Audits
