Stolen and Reproduced Goods

Commercial Painting Equipment Parts Supplier

Represented a manufacturing company against a former employee who stole from the employer's inventory of parts, represented them to be his own, arranged for the manufacture of competing parts using confidential information, and arranged for resale in another state. After obtaining an ex parte temporary restraining order and inventory and seizure order, local enforcement officers escorted the hired private investigator into the defendant’s offices to inventory goods and files and to seize defendant's computer hard drive. The defendant soon thereafter consented to judgment against him for Section 43(a) claims, reverse palming off, conversion, and other causes of action brought by our client. Defendant returned the stolen goods, closed his business, paid damages and reimbursed our client for its attorneys’ fees and costs.
