Greenwich Bar Association Law Day
May 10, 2019
Lori Romano introduced Robert C. Post, Sterling Professor of Law at Yale Law School and this year's featured speaker at the annual Greenwich Law Day luncheon at Indian River Yacht Club. Lori also acted as Master of Ceremonies for the event. The 2019 Liberty Bell Award was presented to Richard Maitland, and the Robert G. Krause Probate Pro Bono Award was presented to David E. Hoyle.
The Greenwich Bar Association's annual Law Day luncheon is part of a larger, nationwide day designated by President Eisenhower in 1961. Each year at the beginning of May, bar associations come together to use Law Day as an educational tool, especially for students. Each year, the American Bar Association designates a theme to highlight an important issue related to the law or legal system. This year's theme was “Your Vote, Your Voice, Our Democracy: The 19th Amendment at 100."
