Pat Naples is a trial and appellate litigator in the firm's Real Estate, Environmental, Land Use, and Construction Practice Group.

Pat represents clients in a range of disputes in these sectors, including constitutional torts, takings claims, administrative appeals, lease disputes, bid protests, and other contract-based actions. In addition, Pat drafts amicus curiae briefs for clients seeking to vindicate their interests in these sectors.

Pat also represents clients in a variety of other complex civil and criminal matters. Pat has assisted government contractors confronting whistleblower claims, equipment manufacturers involved in distributorship disputes, and individual clients facing prosecution for fraud and other offenses.

Before joining Shipman & Goodwin, Pat practiced with an international law firm in Washington, DC. Before that, he served as a staff attorney at the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit, a law clerk for Special Master Lisa Hamilton-Fieldman of the U.S. Court of Federal Claims, and a judicial intern for the Honorable Samuel Der-Yeghiayan, U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois.
