Washington D.C. Insurance Practice and Lawyers Recognized in 2020 Chambers Guide

James Ruggeri Ranked Nationally for Tenth Consecutive Year

Shipman & Goodwin’s Washington, D.C. Insurance practice has been recognized by Chambers USA America’s Leading Lawyers for Business 2020, the nation’s preeminent guide to law firms and individual lawyers. James Ruggeri, Co-Chair of the firm’s Insurance practice, received national recognition in the Insurance: Dispute Resolution: Insurer category for the tenth consecutive year.

In addition, 16 Shipman & Goodwin lawyers have been recommended as “Leaders in Their Field” by Chambers USA and recognized in their respective areas, including Ruggeri and Edward B. Parks II, also a member of the firm’s D.C. office and recognized in the Insurance: Insurer area. Ruggeri has again been recognized in Band 1 by Chambers in District of Columbia.

James Ruggeri, recognized both nationwide and among the “Leaders in Their Field” in Washington, D.C., is Co-Chair of the firm’s Insurance & Reinsurance group and a partner in the Litigation practice. He also is a member of the firm’s seven-person Management Committee. Mr. Ruggeri practices actively in federal and state courts around the country, handling complex insurance coverage litigation at the trial and appellate levels. He has been recognized nationally for his involvement in many cutting-edge developments in insurance litigation.

Edward Parks, recognized among the “Leaders in Their Field” in the area of Insurance, is a partner in the firm’s Insurance & Reinsurance and Litigation practices. He focuses principally in the areas of trial and appellate litigation involving general commercial, bankruptcy and insurance coverage litigation. Mr. Parks practices actively in federal and state courts around the country.
