Shipman & Goodwin and the Connecticut Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) State Council are pleased to present an informative seminar on Data Privacy & Human Resources Law for employers.

This two-part morning program, which will be held and broadcast simultaneously in Shipman & Goodwin’s Hartford and Stamford offices, will cover the very latest on Connecticut’s new data privacy laws, including those applicable to state contractors, and updates on the regulatory environment in light of recent high-profile data breaches. The program will also tackle the implications of the European Court’s decision on "safe harbors" for data going between Europe and the United States.

The second half of the program will cover updates on federal and Connecticut laws and regulations, including proposed overtime regulations promulgated by the Department of Labor, changes to the CHRO complaint process, and a new law covering online privacy rights of employees.

Join us in Hartford or Stamford for this fast-paced and informative program applicable to all human resources personnel, in-house counsel, supervisors and managers.

In case of inclement weather, the seminar will be rescheduled for December 15, 2015. For those of you who are not able to join us in person, you may register to attend via our webinar.
