22nd Annual CHA Statewide Conference

Julie Fay will present "Sharing and Maintaining Records" during the 22nd Annual CHA Statewide Conference. She will review basic legal requirements related to the retention, disclosure and maintenance of a variety of records maintained by independent schools. Topics will include applicable retention schedules and best practices to maintain confidentiality of student information. Julie will also answer frequently asked questions with regard to sharing information with outside third parties, how to handle electronic records, parent access to student records, and the intersection with related requirements under HIPAA.
