Session Description:
Resilience is essential to the practice of labor and employment law. Lawyers across all constituencies face sustained pressure, highstakes decisions, and frequent exposure to conflict and client trauma—conditions that can quietly lead to grief, chronic stress, and burnout. This wellness plenary will offer an engaging, evidencebased conversation on sustaining peak performance and professional wellbeing, with practical strategies to manage stress, strengthen emotional resilience, and recognize early signs of burnout and compassion fatigue. The session will also call on law firms, unions, employers and legal organizations to foster healthier cultures, reduce stigma, and better support colleagues through loss and cumulative stress—leaving participants energized, equipped with concrete tools, and inspired to build more sustainable legal careers.
