This session will cover the latest developments in state taxes in New York over the past year, including updates on residency and on important cases involving New York’s “convenience rule.” Also included will be a discussion of New York’s increased enforcement efforts against pass-through entities, including attempts by the department to allocate or apportion a nonresident taxpayer’s income from intangibles. Additionally, the session will include an overview of significant New Jersey tax legislation adopted in 2025 impacting the personal income tax & sales and use tax. Finally, an overview of significant Connecticut tax legislation adopted in 2025 impacting Connecticut’s corporate income tax, the personal income tax, sales and use tax, as well as tax credits, will be provided.
