PFAS (per- and poly-fluoroalkyl substances) are a diverse and ubiquitous group of man-made chemicals that are resistant to heat, water, and oil. Health effects and toxicity are still not fully understood, but PFAS substances are starting to come under state, federal and international regulation with much more expected in the coming years. 

The second session will cover the current and future state of the many technologies needed to handle the increasing attention on PFAS.
