This EBC Emerging Contaminants webinar will offer an update on two Emerging Contaminants that have become more widely recognized in the last couple of years, locally, nationally, and/or globally: 6PPD-quinone and microplastics. Regulations have been issued in the state of Washington for 6PPD-quinone and locally there has been concern about 6PPD-quinone in crumb rubber infill used in artificial turf systems. Microplastics are in the news with regard to consumer products, our environment, and studies have even associated microplastics with PFAS.

Presentations will focus on recent research, laboratory analytical options available for these Emerging Contaminants, and how to interpret a microplastics laboratory report. The webinar will also provide a regulatory perspective and an update on current litigation with respect to these Emerging Contaminants.

Shipman's Andrew Davis will be a part of this robust panel discussion.

General Continuing Education Certificates are awarded by the EBC for this program (2.5 training contact hours). Certificates are automatically provided via email link for registered attendees at the conclusion of the webinar.
