Defense of a trademark infringement action brought by a foreign manufacturer against an American distributor who owned the marks. The defense required translation of numerous documents from German to English and witness preparation for a preliminary injunction hearing held 2 weeks following service of the complaint. The preliminary injunction was denied. Following summary judgment in client's favor, case was tried to a jury on its counterclaim for breach of an oral distribution agreement and obtained verdict awarding damages and punitive damages. The verdict was upheld on appeal.  Dr. O.K. Wack Chemie, Gmblt v. Gay - Second Circuit Court of Appeals, 208 F.bd 202 (2000).
