We’re excited to launch Season 4 of Shipman’s From Lawyer to Employer podcast, where host Dan Schwartzhighlights the latest labor and employment law developments and their impact on the workplace. The first episode recaps trends employers should be watching this fall, from unusual patterns in EEOC complaints to shifting severance negotiations, new leave law coverage for schools, and lessons from recent retaliation case law. Each takeaway is designed to help employers prepare for what’s ahead.

This episode also plugs Shipman’s Labor & Employment Fall Seminar, happening in person at New Haven’s Hotel Marcel on September 30. The complimentary program features a keynote on hot employment law topics, breakout sessions on leave laws and wage and hour issues, and time for networking (there is still time to register!).

Looking ahead, Season 4 will cover a wide range of timely issues, including unemployment law trends, strategies for managing employee leave, federal wage and hour compliance, the do’s and don’ts of workplace holiday parties, and best practices for updating handbooks and policies as we move into the new year. Episodes will also feature guests from across the firm, bringing diverse perspectives and practical insights for employers. Subscribe on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, or wherever you listen so you don’t miss out!
