A while back, the CBIA asked me if I would present at its annual HR Conference later this month. We decided on the topic which seemed innocuous at the time — just an update on the Trump Administration and the implications for employers.

So, my colleague Emily McDonough Souza and I set out to cover a bunch of topics. We had an outline prepared in early January of the changes we foresaw. The non-compete rule of the FTC would likely be dead, we figured. And there would be some changes at the NLRB.

But, let’s just say we’ve had to rewrite our presentation over the last few weeks.

Will it be out of date by the time we present next week on February 25, 2025? Let’s hope not.

In the meantime, be sure to sign up for this presentation — one of the largest of its kind in the state all year. There are lots of other topics to be sure but we’ll be covering the latest!

My thanks as always to the CBIA for their invite.
