Shipman Lawyers Donate $11,000 to Herosi Foundation Through St. Jude’s Research Hospital to Aid Ukrainian Children with Cancer and Blood Disorders

Cooperating with a number of public and private institutions and organizations, St. Jude Global partners and Herosi Foundation have helped more than 500 Ukrainian children with cancer (and many of their family members), according to a March 15 article appearing on St. Jude’s website.

Shipman & Goodwin LLP attorneys, deeply moved by the human tragedy resulting from the war in Ukraine, raised $11,000 from their ranks to donate to the Herosi Foundation, a pediatric cancer charity in Poland, which is coordinating humanitarian efforts to assist with the transition and continuation of clinical care and treatment of Ukrainian children with cancer and blood diseases.

Joan Feldman, a partner in Shipman’s Health Law practice group, organized the effort, and said, “Together, we can make an amazing difference, and I am very fortunate to work with a firm of lawyers who are so committed to addressing these types of local and global issues.”
