Summary Judgment for Healthcare Practice in Premises Liability Slip and Fall Action

Represented a healthcare practice and individually named providers of the practice in a lawsuit brought by a plaintiff who slipped and fell in the parking lot outside the practice's building. The plaintiff claimed the practice and providers were negligent such that they caused her injuries.  Shipman was successful on summary judgment in our argument that neither the practice nor the providers possessed or controlled the parking area where the plaintiff fell such that they could be held liable for her injuries.
