Bryon Harmon practices in the areas of estate planning, estate settlement and trust administration. As a CFP® professional, Bryon brings additional financial planning insight to each client’s unique trusts and estates needs.

Bryon has over 23 years of experience counseling individuals and families on complex personal and intergenerational financial estate planning needs.  Serving clients across Connecticut, Bryon assists with the full range of planning techniques for tax-effective intergenerational and charitable transfers. He also prepares (and advises professional preparers, such as CPA's) probate documents, estate tax returns and fiduciary income tax returns. When necessary, Bryon represents individuals and estates before the IRS and DRS on audit, and in U.S. Tax Court.

In addition, Bryon administers trusts and advises trustees on matters, including fiduciary investing, income tax and administration. In his role as corporate trust counsel to a Connecticut bank and trust company, Bryon advises a community bank on all aspects of trust administration and trust law. 

A well-regarded presenter and author, Bryon speaks statewide and nationally on estate planning and administration topics such as fiduciary investing, family business succession planning, and asset protection planning. Bryon has also co-authored an article in the ACTEC Law Journal article, "The Prudence of Passivity: An Argument for Default Passive Management in Trust Investing."
