Shipman Expands Finance Practice Group, Adding Four to Bench

STAMFORD, Conn. (March 4, 2025) – Shipman & Goodwin LLP is pleased to announce the continued expansion of its Finance practice group with the addition of four accomplished attorneys. This further strengthens the firm’s position as a premier legal resource for representing financial institutions, investors and businesses requiring sophisticated legal services in lending and capital markets transactions and other finance matters.

Jonathan Orell, W. Graham Garrett, Kyle Buchoff and Michael Horowitz have joined the firm, bringing substantial expertise and deep industry experience to Shipman & Goodwin's growing Finance practice. Their arrival underscores the firm's continued commitment to providing comprehensive, high-caliber legal services to financial institutions, corporations and emerging businesses.

• Jonathan Orell joins the firm as a partner. He brings robust experience in complex finance and real estate transactions and a proven history of serving diverse lending and real estate clients. A trusted and strategic advisor, Orell offers extensive experience in complex financing of commercial properties and all asset classes, as well as property leasing, acquisition and sale.
• Graham Garrett specializes in sophisticated real estate financing in all asset classes, representing major financial institutions and other lenders in all aspects of financing transactions, as well as representing private developers and owners in property acquisitions, sales and leasing matters.
• Kyle Buchoff and Michael Horowitz join Shipman’s premier corporate trust practice. They will represent banks and other financial institutions as administrative agents, trustees and collateral agents for secured and unsecured capital market transactions.
