Shipman Real Estate Lawyers Zana and Fried Close Lease on New American Headquarters for LEGO Group

Shipman is pleased to announce the closing of a commercial lease agreement for its 50-year client, Danish toymaker, LEGO Group. Real estate lawyers Lisa M. Zana and Robin C. Fried were instrumental in negotiating the real estate transaction for the new American headquarters located in Boston, Massachusetts.

The lease of 130,000 square feet of office space at Samuels & Associates' P12 development is an under-construction, air-rights project that will bridge the Back Bay and Fenway neighborhoods in Boston. Negotiating the terms of the lease presented several challenges in the current commercial office market. However, in a post-pandemic commercial office space, where creditworthy tenants are increasingly hard to find, LEGO and Shipman were able to negotiate significant benefits for LEGO, making this deal an exciting one.
