Ian is an associate in Shipman’s Labor, Employment and Education group. Ian advises employers on a wide array of labor and employment matters and offers practical legal guidance to schools and colleges, public and private, on matters relating to students, employees, governance, and policy.
Before pursuing his law degree, Ian worked as a public middle school teacher, which allows him to bring an informed understanding of the education environment to his work with schools and other employers. During law school, he interned with the United District Court for the District of Connecticut with the Honorable Sarala V. Nagala and the Honorable Robert A. Richardson. He also served as an articles editor of the Connecticut Law Review.
