We Are Pleased To Announce The Opening Of Our New Old Lyme Office

Our Trusts & Estates practice has grown with the addition of Suzanne D. Kitchings and Edward (Ted) B. Potter, founders of the Old Lyme Connecticut firm of Kitchings & Potter LLC.  Now with a new Old Lyme location, Shipman & Goodwin trusts and estates attorneys will be able to work with clients on the shoreline and in surrounding counties.

Shipman & Goodwin is proud to mark its centennial anniversary -- a milestone that signifies the firm’s longstanding commitment both to its clients and community. To commemorate its 100-year legacy, the firm plans a series of special events, beginning with a pledge of $250,000 to the Boys & Girls Clubs of Hartford for its new facility.

Shipman & Goodwin Commits to Mansfield Rule 3.0 to Support Diversity and Inclusion

The firm is participating in Mansfield Rule 3.0, a year-long certification process requiring law firms to affirmatively consider at least 30 percent women, minority, LGBTQ+ and disabled attorneys (“historically underrepresented lawyers”) for significant governance roles, senior lateral openings, equity partner promotions, and formal client pitches and RFP responses.
