Shipman Achieves Mansfield Certification Plus for 2020

We are pleased to announce that our firm has achieved a Mansfield Certification Plus designation for 2020. Shipman was one of 100 law firms nationwide to achieve certification.  The Mansfield Rule 3.0 was a year-long certification process requiring law firms to affirmatively consider at least 30 percent women, minority, LGBTQ+ and disabled attorneys for significant governance roles, senior lateral openings, equity partner promotions, and formal client pitches and RFP responses.

Settled National Antitrust Litigation for Regional Dairy Cooperative

Represented our long-term client, Agri-Mark, Inc., a 100-year old dairy cooperative serving dairy farmer members throughout New England and New York, in national antitrust litigation that recently settled.  The nine-year litigation involved a class action and a separate direct action alleging that dairy cooperatives, as members of the National Milk Producers Federation’s Cooperatives Working Together (“CWT”) program, conspired to increase the price of raw farm milk, butter, and cheese, by funding CWT’s voluntary herd retirement program
