Moira F. Petrone
Associate
Moira Petrone is an associate in the firm’s Tax and Employee Benefits Practice Group. Together with the other members of the Shipman Tax and Employee Benefits Practice Group, she represents individuals and companies with regard to tax planning, mergers and acquisitions, various tax and corporate governance issues affecting tax-exempt organizations, enforcement and collection defense, and other federal and state of Connecticut tax controversies. Moira works with closely held businesses organized as limited liability companies, real estate joint ventures, partnerships and S corporations. She also advises taxable and tax-exempt organizations alike on the design and operation of a wide range of retirement, health and welfare, and executive compensation plans and programs, and on employee benefits issues arising in corporate transactions.
Prior to joining Shipman, Moira was a senior associate at a Big Four accounting firm in its mergers and acquisitions federal tax group. While attending Syracuse University College of Law, she was an Executive Editor on the Syracuse Law Review.
