Counsel
Hartford, CT

Nina represents employers and individuals in a wide range of U.S. immigration matters. With a primary focus in business immigration, Nina helps employers—including small businesses, schools (primary, secondary, and higher education), multinational companies, manufacturers, healthcare organizations, and financial institutions—meet their business and/or organizational needs by obtaining appropriate immigration status and employment authorization for employees and their family members, allowing such organizations to recruit and retain foreign national workers in the U.S. Her practice encompasses all business-related nonimmigrant and immigrant petitions and applications, including employer-sponsored petitions for temporary work authorization (e.g., H-1B, O-1, L-1, TN, J-1), permanent labor certification, national interest waivers, and applications for adjustment of status to permanent residence. She also advises employers on immigration-related compliance, including Form I-9 completion and retention, I-9 audits, and the use of E-Verify. Moreover, she advises employers on matters relating to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) enforcement actions, including helping employers understand their rights and implement ICE enforcement response policies for preparedness, as well as providing internal training for key personnel.
Nina also represents individuals in a variety of personal immigration matters, including self-sponsored employment-based immigrant petitions (e.g., EB-1 and national interest waivers), family-based adjustment of status applications, re-entry permits for legal permanent residents, and applications for naturalization to U.S. citizenship.
